“Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do humble work.”
– Mother Teresa
The Bayo Fatusin Foundation is a non-Governmental, non-profit organization following the word of God to care and provide for the less privileged.
We believe in a multi-faceted approach to addressing the immediate needs of those stricken with poverty including hunger and medical care and the long-range problems that cause recurring, generational poverty such as lack of health services, education, and financial support. Our multi-faceted approach provides the best chance of survival and progression both physically and spiritually.
Donations and Charity Drives
The foundation donates cash, supplies, food, and medical supplies to alleviate the immediate suffering of the poor. Volunteers regularly visit poverty stricken areas such as Takwa Bay Island, hospitals, and charity homes to distribute much-needed food and supplies to women, children, and the less privileged.
Education
The Bayo Fatusin Foundation supports education through the building of new classrooms and laboratories and by providing financial education. By educating those in need, we can help them become self-reliant and break the recurring, generational pattern of poverty.
Financial Support
To support the less privileged who are ready to take control of their own financial support, we provide the capital and guidance necessary to launch new initiatives. Through the new Women Empowerment Scheme, the foundation gives direct access to executive counseling in strategic planning, financial education, and financial support through no interest loans.
Spirituality
God is the foundation for all things and our commitment to caring for the less privileged. We may feed another’s hunger, but the hunger of the soul has a more lasting effect. In fulfilling our mission, we must also spread the word of God and support others in spreading the word of His love. To that end, the foundation supports the training of Dominican priests for the Catholic Church through St. Jude’s Apostolate and the Society for Vocational Support.
